USB Manufacturer Teams Up with 'Green' Company
In an effort to completely eradicate its carbon footprint,
the USB Superstore has recently inked a partnership with San
Francisco-based carbon offset provider Village Green Energy in a move
that The USB Superstore hopes would contribute to the global campaign
against climate change.
The USB Superstore says it has evaluated all the
major carbon offset providers and decided to go with Village Green
Energy as they are certified by Green-E and only supply carbon offsets
that promote new renewable energy generation, which snugly fits Village
Green Energy’s main thrust of driving the transition to renewable
energy rather than planting trees or burning animal waste that it says
only address a symptom of the problem.
After calculating all the carbon emissions that resulted from The
USB Superstore manufacturing and shipping operations, the USB
Superstore purchased Renewable Energy Certificates that will in turn be
sourced to finance the development of new solar, wind and biogas
facilities throughout the country.
On its website, the USB Superstore says it is passionate in
“improving the renewable energy landscape of America” and to not
contribute to climate change or global warming.
In addition to calculating and offsetting it’s entire operation’s
carbon footprint, The USB Superstore offers products that appeal to
eco-chic sensibilities, such as their Bamboo USB drive packaged in a
wooden box.
“Across the board Americans are awakening to the reality that
‘business-as-usual’ translates to environmental degradation. The USB
Superstore is part of the solution, not part of the problem.
The USB Superstore is one of the leaders in high-quality USB 2.0
compatible promotional gifts and customized USB Sticks. One of their
primary selling points is an All-Inclusive pricing model that provides
one quote that includes graphics, packaging and shipping. This stands
in stark contrast to others in the industry who ‘nickel and dime’
customers for each element of customization.
